Welcome to Scotland!
Day 1 - Monday August 18th.
A welcoming committee will greet you upon your arrival at Edinburgh airport and a private car will whisk you away to the Waldorf Astoria Caledonian, the 2014 Scottish Luxury Hotel of the Year. After getting settled and enjoying a beautiful lunch catered by our exclusive caterer (Celia Clyne Banqueting), we will head out to see Edinburgh, the glorious and majestic capital of Scotland. We will experience Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Festival, Scotch Whiskey Experience (if you so choose) and the mind-blowing Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Day 2 - Tuesday August 19th.
After breakfast at 8am, tour guests have a choice. Either stay and continue to tour Edinburgh ( a city that could truly be toured for months) or head out to Gullane Golf Club and enjoy a round of golf at the home of the Scottish open. Golf has been played over the links at Gullane for more than 350 years. Today, Gullane Golf Club is one of Scotland's most prestigious member clubs,. Golfers will head out by coach bus after breakfast and meet back up with everyone for dinner. For those non-golfers, we have an action packed day of Edinburgh hopping. We will be touring the Scottish Parliament (with ex- speaker of the house Alex Ferguson), touring Holyrood Palace (The Queen’s summer vacation spot), Arthurs Seat, Scott Monument, Princes Street Gardens amongst others. After this we will head over to Tullibardine Whiskey Distillery for a 6pm arrival tour and dinner at the distillery. After dinner, we will head back to our Waldorf Astroria for much needed beauty sleep after a packed day.
Day 3 - Wednesday August 20th.
Today we will be leaving Edinburgh and heading out to see more of the land. We will be traveling to Stirling to see the glorious castle and Wallace Monument (Braveheart). The sights are truly breathtaking and it will be a day to remember forever. After touring Stirling, we will head on to the world famous Glengoyne whiskey distillery for a master class tour and then on to Cameron House on Loch Lomond, located in possibly the most beautiful setting in Scotland.
Day 4 - Thursday August 21st.
The day of many choices. At Cameron House, the world truly comes alive. We have upward of 15 options for our guests to enjoy. Please choose how you would like to spend the day at Cameron House. It is important for us to know your choices, so that we can have everything set up in advance.
Day 5 - Friday August 22nd.
We will now be leaving beautiful Loch Lomond and heading to legendary St. Andrews for Shabbat. We will be checking in to our Fairmont Resort and then head on to our excursions for the day. For many golfers, St. Andrews is known as the mecca of golf and the one place that needs to be played. For all of our non-golfing tour guests, we will be taking everyone to the impossibly beautiful Isle of May. It is a tiny little island in the middle of the Firth of Forth and absolutely spectacular. After these events we will head back for a beautiful restful Shabbat.
Day 6 - Saturday August 23rd.
Enjoying a beautiful Shabbat in St. Andrews is picturesque and relaxing. We will have classes and events throughout the day, culminating with a Saturday night bonfire and BBQ. Our closing ceremonies will take place as the tour winds down.
Day 7 - Sunday August 24th.
A private car will take you back to the airport at any time of your choosing.
We have hidden treats and events happening throughout your stay that we choose to keep as a surprise, but this itinerary is a good base for the experience. We thank you for joining us and look forward to providing you with this experience of a lifetime!
